Koushirou Izumi is a bright boy. Orphaned a young age and brought up by muggles, for years he nothing about his own heritage, magical or not. For years, his parents even tried to fact that he was adopted from him, though he overheard them talk about it one night when he was very young. From then on, he developed a fascination with the origin of all things, and a keen thirst for knowledge. He knew nothing about the magical world until receiving his letter, but was quick to pick up a few books and find out all he could before heading off to school.

Since then, he's found out at least the basics of his heritage through his now completely open-to-him parents. They have become a much closer family since then. And Koushirou has found other family members within the halls of Hogwarts as well, who he loves dearly.

Koushirou is often found reading, writing or daydreaming, but what he really loves doing is spending time on his laptop. Of course, this proved to be impossible at Hogwarts since technology of that sort is prohibited, so he’s somewhat in withdrawal. (He also misses it because his writing is extremely messy.) He’s more on the quiet side, but will get along well with most people once he gets to know them.
